L’Ecole de Dunes also serves as a supportive space for talking and friendship; a community space with familiar faces.
There are regularly nurses on site, as well as gynaecologists, opticians and dentists. French lawyers visit frequently to advise on French asylum information for the students of the school.
Day care for children and a nursery that, like the rest of the school, is open all day every day and includes lessons and workshops from visiting volunteers as well as regular staff at the school. The school provides one afternoon meal every day, and the visiting lawyers also provide information for unaccompanied minors who attend the school. The school provides a safe space for children and families for all of the camp, and has the only playground for the children in the camp.
